Topic:Â Staying grounded, embracing growth, and slowing down when life moves too fast

đ Sugar Q: âWhatâs so great about high school, anyway?â
Auntea Kizzy didnât even blink.
âHigh school is a period that lets you discover who you are, what you like, and who you want to become. Itâs a dress rehearsal for life â because after graduation, itâs showtime!â
She reminded us that high school is your safe zone. You can make mistakes, learn from them, and still have people around to help you bounce back.
đĄÂ The Tea:
Donât rush through it, sugar. High school isnât a filler â itâs your foundation.
đ¨Â Sugar Q: âIâm just trying to get through high school, not love it. Is that bad?â
âNope, not bad â but try to explore, baby girl,â Auntea Kizzy said. âDonât just do whatâs protocol. Color outside the lines.â
She admits she didnât join clubs or try new things in high school because she âdidnât have time.â Looking back, she wishes she had.
đĄÂ The Tea:
Be curious. Try something new. High school is the easiest place to find out what lights you up. đ
đ§đ˝Â Sugar Q: âWhy wonât my G-ma let me date?â
âHoney, thatâs because G-ma knows dating comes with expectations,â said Auntea Kizzy.
Dating can be fun â but it also brings pressure. People might expect your time, attention, or even things youâre not ready to give.
Auntea M added, âIn high school, keep it casual. Be friends. Stay unattached. Donât let anyone dim your light or distract you from your goals.â
đĄÂ The Tea:
Real love doesnât rush you. If theyâre serious, theyâll wait. â¤ď¸
đđžÂ Sugar Q: âDoes prayer actually make things better?â
âAlways,â Auntea Kizzy smiled. âIt might not fix things right away, but it gives me peace â every time.â
Her prayer routine is simple: talk to God anywhere â in bed, in the shower, or in the car.
âItâs like a conversation. I talk, and I listen. The more I pray, the more I hear Him.â
đĄÂ The Tea:
Prayer wonât always change your situation â but it will change your spirit. â¨
đ°ď¸Â Sugar Q: âMy mom says âDonât grow up too fast.â What does that even mean?â
âIt means slow down,â Auntea Kizzy said gently. âYouâre only young once â and it goes by fast.â
She explained that adulthood lasts way longer than girlhood, and with it comes bills, responsibilities, and decisions that can change your life.
âThereâs time for all that. Right now, enjoy your youth. Avoid risky choices that can derail your future. Donât move at anybody elseâs pace.â
đĄÂ The Tea:
Being grown isnât about age â itâs about wisdom. And that takes time. đˇ
đ Simiâs Sip
Lifeâs not a race, sugar â itâs a rhythm.
Find your beat. Protect your peace.
And remember: you donât have to do it all to be amazing.
Not a lecture, just a sip of tea. âđ
