Topic:Ā Healing, self-worth, and redefining beauty from the inside out

šĀ From the Bronx to the DMV
When Auntie Tiffany walks in a room, her energy says it all ā calm, confident, and radiant. āØĀ But that glow? It wasnāt always there.
She grew up in the Bronx, the oldest of three, in a home that had love but also challenges. āI was a good student, but I was also a fixer. I wanted everyone around me to be okay,ā she says.
Now, sheās a licensed therapist, mom, and owner of Beauty Therapy Studio, where she helps women unlearn what theyāve been taught about perfection.
āWe canāt contour our way out of pain,ā she says, laughing. āReal beauty is doing the work to heal.ā
šĀ Sugar Q: āHow do I stop comparing myself to girls online?ā
āLog off sometimes, sugar.ā š»
Tiffany gets it ā scrolling can make you feel like youāre behind in life. āWeāre watching highlight reels,ā she says. āNobodyās posting the tears, the fights, or the days they donāt get out of bed.ā
She reminds her clients ā especially young girls ā that social media is a tool, not a mirror.
āYou are not your likes. You are your light.ā š
š”Ā The Tea:Ā
Take breaks. Breathe. And remember ā peace looks better on you than perfection ever will.
šĀ Sugar Q: āWhat if therapy doesnāt work for me?ā
Tiffany laughs softly. āBaby, therapy isnāt a magic wand ā itās a mirror.ā
She breaks it down: āItās okay if the first therapist isnāt your person. Sometimes healing means trying again.ā
Tiffany tells her clients to give therapy the same grace theyād give dating or friendship: āYou might have to meet a few before you find the right fit.ā
š”Ā The Tea:
Therapy is like skincare ā consistency and patience reveal the glow. š š½
šĀ Sugar Q: āWhat if my family doesnāt understand my mental health journey?ā
Tiffany sighs ā sheās been there.
āSome people love you, but they donāt have the language for what youāre feeling. That doesnāt mean they donāt care.ā
She explains how older generations often view therapy as āairing dirty laundry.ā But for Tiffany, healing is honoringĀ the family by breaking cycles.
āYou can love them and still do the work. Both can be true.ā
š”Ā The Tea:Ā Ā
Donāt wait for everyone to understand you before you start healing. Your peace is your permission. š
šĀ Sugar Q: āHow can I feel beautiful when I donāt feel good inside?ā
Tiffany smiles. āStart small. Hydrate. Pray. Journal. Take a walk. Itās the little things that rebuild your sparkle.ā
She used to rely on hair and lashes to feel confident. Now, she finds power in silence, sunlight, and setting boundaries.
āHealing doesnāt always look cute ā but itās still beautiful.ā
š”Ā The Tea:Ā
Beauty isnāt in the mirror ā itās in the moments you choose yourself. š·
šĀ Simiās Sip
Healing isnāt about being perfect ā itās about being honest. Auntie Tiffany reminds us that confidence starts when you stop performing and start being.
Your softness is strength, sugar. Protect it.
Not a lecture, just a sip of tea.Ā āš
